All of the hedgehogs pictured on this page are between 4 - 8 months of age. This is the ideal age to purchase
a hedgehog if you are intent on acquiring a specific colour or if your intentions are to eventually breed a specific trait
into your lines.
- Hedgehogs do
not always show their true colours until they are between 16 and 20 weeks of age
- Parts of our breeding goals are to produce hedgehogs that will remain a bit on the smaller side.
- While personality is not entirely genetics we do notice that babies produced from calm social parents have
a tendency to become calmer/ friendly pets.
Before we include a baby in our breeding program, quite often we will keep one or
an entire litter a little longer to see how they develop. Once we have decided which one to keep the others may be offered
for sale on the page.
