- All of the hedgehogs (occasionally other species) on this page are animals that have SPECIAL NEEDS or
they are pets that have been offered temporary sanctuary in our home until a more suitable permanent PET home can be
found.
We are not a rescue! We are breeders! BUT we understand that life is ever changing and we realize that on
occasion things don’t always go the way we hoped they would. When these life changes occur, sometimes people have to
surrender their pets; this is often one of the toughest decisions pet caregivers must face. To us, part of being responsible
breeders is to help pet owners and their pets whenever possible. We strongly urge all breeders to be responsible by giving
ongoing support to people and pets in need and whenever possible, to offer a temporary home to any animal that might otherwise
find its’ self in an unsuitable (often-devastating) situation.
Prior to surrendering an animal, we do ask that all pet owners do everything possible to find a suitable
caring home for their pets then, if all else fails, feel free to contact us. We will do what we can to help. We do not charge
money to surrender a pet but we do ask that people understand that our space is limited. Being that we are very conscientious
breeders, we will not expose any of our breeding animals to unnecessary health risks. We do not permit foster animals direct
contact with our own animals so we do need to house them separately. Special needs animals normally take more time to care
for and depending on the number of animals in our care, we may not have the time needed to care for the ‘special needs’
animal properly.
We de-worm and apply a monthly application of topical mite prevention to every hedgehog in our care. Most
animals featured on this page are of unknown origin. Unless we have been fostering them for some time, normally we have little
to no history regarding the animal but whatever we do know about them will be passed on to the new owners.
Regardless of age, gender, type/species etc., all animals featured
on this page are offered at a reasonable flat rate of $50.00.
(this small adoption fee helps offset the costs associated with helping animals in need)
"Hopefully, there will not be too many animals featured on this page!"
